Arno De Vos
Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary

Arno De Vos B Com., B Com (Hons), B Compt. (Hons), CA, PMP is the Chief Financial Officer and was appointed on 25 March 2009 to the position of Company Secretary. For the previous ten years he was director, compliance manager and company secretary for numerous private companies.

Arno is a Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of experience in accounting, audit, corporate finance, treasury and company secretarial. For 8 years, he was Chief Financial Officer of a property industry related company. Arno has served as a director for more than 34 private companies. Employed for a period of 5 years by Deloittes, Arno also worked with numerous listed entities.

Arno is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA), affiliate of Chartered Public Accountants Australia (CPA), affiliate of Chartered Secretaries Australia (CSA), Registered Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute and member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and Registered with the Australian Office of Fair Trading as Principal Real Estate Agent and Property Developer.

 

Andy Roberts
General Manager – Business Development

Andy has more than twenty five years commercial experience with a strong focus on project management and business development across the mining exploration, mineral development and energy sectors. Andy has developed strong global networks in the resources sector having travelled extensively and worked in many countries, with well established relationships at senior executive level through ASX listed and private companies, and government entities in Australia. He collaborates with a well-developed marketing and investment channel into Asia, with a strong focus on China, which compliments his resources expertise. Andy manages an innovative approach to business development focussed on delivering elevated levels of profitability for all stakeholders.

 

Peter Shelley

Peter Shelley
Operations Manager – Lucky Break Project

Peter is a Metallurgist with over 20 years' experience in the mineral processing industry. He has worked in technical and operational management, process development, safety and quality management and personnel training in several base metals operations, including the commissioning and ramp up of plants in Queensland and Western Australia.

Peter has an Extractive Metallurgy degree from Murdoch University and an Applied Chemistry Diploma from the Gordon Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy, and was a member of the ISEC'90 organising committee.

 

Len HeurlinLen Heurlin
CEO Metals Finance Corp Africa

Len was appointed CEO of Metals Finance Africa (Pty) Ltd (MFA) at its formation in 2006. He is a founding shareholder and director of Muva Metals (Pty) Ltd, which holds an equal interest in Metals Finance Africa.

Len has positioned MFA to achieve significant growth within a specific niche of the resources sector. His responsibilities include all operations, administrative functions and applying the strategic focus of the business, which he identified and initiated over 8 years ago while managing director of Muva Metals. He has led the negotiations and concluded joint ventures with major resource companies to lay the foundation for the successful implementation of the company's business plan.

He has managed the Palabora Project through design, construction, commissioning and operation and will continue with the development of a selected number of prospective projects within Africa. Len has design and construction experience primarily in a project management role for the implementation of process plants and mine surface infrastructure. He has gained infrastructure development experience in South Africa, New Zealand and India in a business development role. He has also researched and evaluated novel hydrometallurgical processing technologies that have the potential to transform the design of future process plants. He is a co-founder of FutureMet, a technology company that has over the past 8 years developed and patented the world's first continuous counter current resin-in-pulp contactor.

Len has a Bachelor of Science degree with honours from the University of Cape Town and has completed a Masters of Business Administration from the same university in 2000.

 

Geoff ParkerGeoffrey Parker

Director Metals Finance Africa

Geoffrey Parker is a highly experienced civil engineer, with over 40 years in the construction industry throughout Southern Africa. Over the years, Geoff has been a Director of a number of companies, involved in the construction industry both in South Africa and other parts of Africa. He has also had experience in the resource and metal recovery industry in Southern Africa, holding the position of Managing Director for a junior mining company, listed on the JSE, in the early 1990's. In April 2004 Geoff became one of the founding directors & shareholders in the formation of Muva Metals (Pty) Ltd (Muva currently owns 50% of Metals Finance Africa), & Metals Finance Africa (Pty) Ltd.
